Moisture Detected: Phone Not Charging on iPhone & Samsung

If your iPhone or Samsung phone shows a **“Moisture Detected”** warning and won’t charge, it’s a built-in safety feature. Modern smartphones disable charging when moisture, humidity, or debris is detected in the charging port to prevent damage.

Common Causes

* Water or rain exposure

* Steam or high humidity (bathrooms, kitchens)

* Sweat after workouts

* Dust or lint in the charging port

* Wet or faulty charging cable

---

How to Fix It

1. **Unplug the charger immediately**

2. Hold the phone with the port facing down and gently tap it

3. Try a **different cable and charger**

4. Restart the phone once fully dry

💡 *Wireless charging may work while the port is drying.*

---

## What Not to Do

* Do not use a hair dryer or heat

* Do not insert objects into the charging port

* Do not charge while the warning is active

* Do not use rice (it can leave debris)
